    Man cited after falling asleep at gas pump, claiming he had a “long day”

    WOOD COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was cited after falling asleep in his car at a gas pump claiming he had a “long day.”

    According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, July 7, a deputy was dispatched to the 7-11 on DuPont Road following a report of a person slumped over the wheel of a vehicle at the gas pump for about an hour.

    Upon arrival, the Deputy found the driver, identified as Deane Allen Beck Jr., 44, of 30th Street, who explained that he had pulled in to get gas and fallen asleep due to having had a long day.

    After further investigation, it was discovered that Beck was driving on a suspended/revoked license, marking his third offense.

    Beck was issued a citation for Driving on Suspended/Revoked 3rd offense.

    They searched him and his truck and found no drugs or paraphernalia so then they wrote him a ticket bc they couldn’t take him to jail. Our police force is a joke and should be ashamed of themselves for this. But they won’t do anything to a person that is clearly on drugs. Let’s try to ruin someone’s life for nothing WCSO you guys suck
