Friday afternoon, shots were heard near 7th Street NW and Broadway Avenue NW. Responding officers didn’t find a victim, but just minutes later, a man arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Investigators have not said what led up to the shooting, but GRPD Chief Eric Winstrom previously said it was believed to be a targeted incident and vehicles were believed to be involved.

As of Wednesday, the victim remained hospitalized in critical condition, according to GRPD.
