GUN PLAIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A motorcyclist was hospitalized after hitting a deer near Plainwell Wednesday, deputies say.

Just after 7 p.m., the motorcycle driver was headed east on 106th Avenue in Gun Plain Township when a deer crossed the road near the intersection with 3rd Street. The driver hit the deer, the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department said.
