WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Four people who were wanted on warrants were arrested and taken to jail after deputies found them in a home with drugs and stolen property, the sheriff’s office said.

On Tuesday afternoon, deputies and police officers from multiple agencies executed a search warrant at a home on Dewey Lake Street near Glenwood Road in Wayne Township. They were looking for fugitives and stolen utility trailers out of Keeler and Hamilton Township areas, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office.

Four people with outstanding warrants were found inside. They were arrested and booked into the Cass County Jail. Controlled substances and stolen property were also found, deputies said, although they did not specify if the property was the utility trailers they were looking for.

Detectives say they will seek charges against the suspects for possessing methamphetamines, maintaining a drug house, resisting and obstructing police and receiving and concealing stolen property.

Anyone with information should contact the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office at 269.657.3101, Crime Stoppers at 1.800.342.7867, Silent Observer at 269.343.2100 or your local police department.
