DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies are searching for an 18-year-old they are calling “armed and dangerous” out of Mecosta County.

On Wednesday around 10:45 p.m., Allen David Kuhn fired a handgun at his stepfather and then fled the scene, according to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office. By the time deputies arrived to the address on 137th Avenue, south of 1 Mile Road in Deerfield Township, Kuhn was gone. They searched the area but could not find him.

Deputies believe he has a 22LR handgun. Kuhn is described as standing 6 feet tall and weighing 140 pounds. He has brown curly hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing black pants and a black shirt, according to deputies.

Kuhn has felony warrants out for his arrest, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies are asking the community to report if they know where he may be. They urge the public not to confront him but to instead call 911 or the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office at 231.592.0150 with any tips.
