    GRPD looking for shooter after teen shot at party

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A 17-year-old is in the hospital after she was shot in the forearm early Sunday morning at a party in Grand Rapids.

    Just after midnight, officers with the Grand Rapids Police Department were sent to the area of Leonard Street NW and Quarry Avenue NW after there was a shooting at a party.

    Responding officers learned that a 17-year-old girl, who was not targeted, was shot in the forearm. The Grand Rapids watch commander said she was taken to the hospital. Her condition has not been released.

    Officers are looking for the shooter. No suspect information was released.

    The shooting remains under investigation.
