GRPD: Man arrested in deadly March hit-and-run

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Police Department says a man is facing a felony charge in a deadly hit-and-run earlier this year.

Centell Isom, 24, was arrested on a charge of failure to stop at the scene of a crash resulting in death, police announced Tuesday.

Jail records indicate he is also accused of fleeing the police.

The crash happened around 2:10 a.m. on March 17. Police said a 55-year-old Wyoming woman — later identified as Donna Nguyen — was hit and killed at 28th Street SE and Eastern Avenue SE.

The car took off, according to GRPD. Investigators later said they believed a blue 2019 Ford Fusion was involved in the crash.
