Man hospitalized after being hit by vehicle in Otsego Twp

OTSEGO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man is in the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle in Otsego Township early Sunday morning.

Around 12:40 a.m., deputies with the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the area of 106th Avenue and Miller Road after receiving reports about a crash.

Responding deputies learned that a westbound Dodge Ram had hit a 45-year-old Plainwell man who was in the roadway.

The Plainwell man was seriously hurt and taken to the hospital, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies do not believe alcohol or speed were factors for the driver in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
