MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was shot and killed in Muskegon Saturday night, Muskegon police say.

The Muskegon Police Department said that around 10 p.m., officers were called to the scene of the shooting in the area of Beidler Street and W. Forest Avenue.

There, they found a Muskegon Heights man in his 40s with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

The man was shot after an apparent argument broke out at a party, police say.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call Muskegon police at 231.724.6750 or Silent Observer at 231.722.7463.

when's Muskegon people going to take a stand. more and more, we are putting young men and women in the ground for foolishness. to many say I'm not getting involved. it starts on your block. they can't win if you stand together.our kids deserve to play outdoors without us worrying a full that thinks taking a life is respect. for the fools that think this respect you didn't gain nothing besides sitting behind bars becoming a prison b!tch. you can't run to mom sitting in there.
