Woman threatens another customer with gun, arrested waiting in drive-thru

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — South Haven police say a woman was arrested while waiting in the drive-thru to get her food after threatening another customer with a gun.

The South Haven Police Department said it received a report of a woman who pointed a gun at a customer in the drive-thru at the McDonald’s on LaGrange Street near the intersection of Aylworth Avenue.

The victim told police she had a verbal altercation with another customer in line at the drive-thru when the suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her, according to a SHPD news release.

Officers found the suspect waiting in line to pick up her food with a handgun under the driver’s seat. The 24-year-old South Haven woman was arrested for felonious assault and carrying a concealed weapon, the release said.

South Haven High School was placed on external lockdown for around 10 minutes due to the incident, according to the release.
