Woman charged in threat at McDonald’s drive-thru

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman has been charged with three counts after police say she threatened a fellow South Haven McDonald’s customer with a gun.

Alexis White, 24, of South Haven, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, felonious assault and violating a weapon-free school zone.

The incident happened Tuesday morning in the drive-thru at the McDonald’s on LaGrange Street north of Aylworth Avenue. The fast food spot is across the street from South Haven High School.

The South Haven Police Department says that White pointed a handgun at another McDonald’s customer, a person she’d never met before, after they got into an argument about “line cutting.”

White was still in the drive-thru lane when officers showed up. The gun was in her car under the driver’s seat, police say.

She also had a “young child” in the car with her, authorities said. That child was returned to family.

White’s bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety at arraignment.
