GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A 70-year-old woman won more than $200,000 playing the lottery.

She won a $205,831 BIG CA$H Jackpot, the Michigan Lottery said in a release. Her name was drawn after earning entries by playing eligible BIG CA$H Second Chance Jackpot games online.

The Grand Traverse County woman, who chose to remain anonymous, made sure to do her due diligence when she was notified about the win.

“I got an email that said I was the winner of the July BIG CA$H jackpot prize, but it seemed too good to be true,” she said in the release. “The first thing I did was start researching the game on the Lottery website and matching up the phone number in the email to what was online. Then, I called and asked a bunch of questions just to make sure it was real!”

She plans on using her winnings for home improvement projects.
