GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Blandford Nature Center always has family-friendly and nature-focused programming at its Grand Rapids location but now they’re bringing them to the parts of Kent County.

Throughout the month of September, the nature preserve will provide educational programs at three parks in Kent County for families to take part in and enjoy. The programs range from guided nature walks to birding classes for adults.

“We are excited to host families, youth and adults in their favorite Kent County Parks. These fun, engaging programs are a great way to begin appreciating the natural beauty that surrounds all of us and to inspire youngsters to take care of nature and each other,” Izzy Saylor, the off-site programs coordinator for Blandford, said in a statement.

The full list of dates and locations are below:

    • Caledonia Lakeside Park: Sept. 10, 13 and 14
    • Townsend Park: Sept. 17, 19 and 20

All programming starts at 10 a.m. at the park and goes until 5 p.m. most days. The full schedule of programs can be found here .
