    1 dead, 1 rescued after boat capsizes on Newaygo Co. lake

    ENSLEY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say one person died and another was rescued after a boat capsized on a lake in Newaygo County.

    Newaygo County dispatch said it happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on Frey Lake off 136th Street between Juniper Avenue and S. Locust Avenue in Ensley Township, southeast of Grant.

    According to dispatch, two people went into the water after the boat capsized. One person was rescued, while the other was unresponsive and later died, dispatchers said.

    Their names have not been released.
