KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — You can now apply for a passport and learn a new language at the Kalamazoo Public Library.

Library cardholders can sign up for Mango Languages , a language-learning app where you can listen, explore new vocabulary and build conversational skills. If you don’t have a library card, sign up online at the KDL website .

Passport applications can also be accepted at KPL, on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. Anyone, even those who do not have a KPL library card, can bring their passport applications to the second floor of the Central Library during regular operation hours. The library is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

KPL also offers on-site passport photos for $10, but an appointment is required. Call 269.553.7007 to make an appointment. More information about what documents you’ll need to apply or renew a passport can be found on the KPL website or by emailing passports@kpl.gov .
