HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say a woman was injured after crashing into a tree near Holland early Thursday morning.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report of the crash around 1:40 a.m. Thursday on Howard Avenue near Lake Street in Holland Township.

Investigators said a 46-year-old Holland woman was heading southbound on Howard Avenue when she lost control of her Ford Escape, left the roadway and struck a tree.

The sheriff’s office said the woman was taken to the hospital with “moderate injuries.” She was wearing her seatbelt.

    The crash remains under investigation.
