Correction: A previous version of this story misstated the severity of the woman’s injuries. She was hospitalized with injuries that were serious but not considered life-threatening . We regret the error, which has been fixed.

WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say a woman was injured in a single-car crash near Marne Wednesday night.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 10:45 p.m. on 8th Avenue south of Roosevelt Street in Wright Township.

Investigators said a 33-year-old Ravenna woman was heading southbound on 8th Avenue when she left the roadway, went into a deep ditch and struck a culvert.

The driver had to be pulled from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital with injuries that were serious but not considered life-threatening, according to a release. She was not wearing a seatbelt, the sheriff’s office said.

    The crash remains under investigation.
