    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Shake off the stress of the work week this weekend with some of the awesome events coming to West Michigan.

    Here is a look at what you can do the weekend of Sept. 13:

    ArtPrize 2024

    ArtPrize , the annual art competition, returns to Grand Rapids for another year starting on Friday.

    Not only will you have two weeks to explore the city and see beautiful works of art from artists across the country, but you can also engage in a wide variety of activities hosted by the festival.

    Brickworld Grand Rapids

    DeVos Place is set to host the return of hundreds of LEGO displays this weekend with Brickworld coming to town.

    The event kicks off Friday and you can check out some remarkable set ups from LEGO builders across the country all in one place.

    GR Margarita Fest 2024

    Also happening at DeVos Place this weekend will be the 2024 Grand Rapids Margarita Fest.

    Those of you 21 and older can sample one-of-a-kind margaritas from vendors around the globe. Each drink will be crafted by seasoned mixologists. Each guest will receive a custom tasting glass.

    Fiesta Mexicana

    Hispanic Heritage Month kicks off this Sunday and a perfect way to get the festivities started early is happening at Calder Plaza.

    Starting Friday, Fiesta Mexicana will provide you with plenty of Mexican food, dancing, live music and more to celebrate the culture and growing Mexican community in Grand Rapids.

    Hot Wheels Monster Trucks

    Hot Wheels is known for its toy-sized cars but it’s bringing something pretty big to Van Andel Arena this weekend.

    Hot Wheels Monster Trucks will have three separate shows Friday, Saturday and this Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. They will feature some incredible vehicles and some even more incredible stunts.

    Beekeeping, Polka dancing classes with GRPL

    The Grand Rapids Public Library is bringing some fascinating introductory classes to the community this Saturday.

    At its Main Branch, you can get some polka dancing lessons and at its West Side Branch, you can learn how to start beekeeping.

    BFF Fest 2024

    Brewery Vivant + Spirits is bringing back a community favorite event this Saturday with its BFF Fest.

    The festival will feature an incredible lineup of beers to try and now it will also be putting a cocktail menu on display as well for the first time in its history.

    Putt’N For Patrol Dogs

    The second annual Putt’N For Patrol Dogs golf outing is taking place this Friday at Emerald Hills Golf Course & Tavern.

    The event will help raise money for the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office’s K-9 units. There will also be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and more.

    Michigan Irish Music Festival

    The city of Muskegon better be ready to dance as the 2024 Michigan Irish Music Festival makes its way back this weekend for a 25th year.

    From Thursday to Sunday, you can check out some of the best Irish music groups all in one place. The headliners this year include Gaelic Storm, Kila, Talisk, Aofie Scott and Seamus Kennedy.

    Saugatuck Film Festival

    The Saugatuck Women’s Club will be the site for this year’s Saugatuck Film Festival.

    From 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, you can check out and help celebrate several local filmmakers who have put together independent films. The winners in each category will take home a portion of the $1,000 grand prize.
