    Kentwood PD: Pedestrian hurt after being hit by vehicle

    KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Police in Kentwood say a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and seriously hurt Thursday morning.

    It happened around 8:50 a.m. on the 5100 block of Eastern Avenue SE, near Lyles Street SE, according to a release from the Kentwood Police Department.

    Police say a vehicle hit a pedestrian who was crossing Eastern. Then, the original vehicle hit another vehicle.

    The pedestrian was hospitalized with injuries that were serious but not considered life-threatening, according to the Kentwood Police Department.

    According to the release, the drivers and passengers of both vehicles were also checked, and one person was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
