GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The 8th annual ‘Over The Edge’ fundraiser put on by Easterseals MORC will return to Grand Rapids on Saturday.

The fundraiser gives participants who raise at least $1,000 the rare opportunity to rappel down 18 stories of Bridgewater Place, one of the tallest buildings in Grand Rapids.

The challenge is meant to bring awareness to the challenges that individuals with mental or developmental disabilities face regularly.

Easterseals MORC is one of the largest disability service providers in Michigan, assisting more than 25,000 individuals and their families at locations across the state. The organization provides services for children, adults and seniors with disabilities and/or special needs as well as long-term care support to families.

One hundred percent of proceeds from Over The Edge will support Easterseals MORC’s mission. So far participants have raised $117,079.44 this year.
