    No one hurt in Kalamazoo house fire

    KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — No one was hurt in an early Saturday morning house fire in Kalamazoo.

    Around 12:20 a.m., crews with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety were sent to the area of Russell Street and Jackson Street after receiving reports of a house fire.

    Responding crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the home. They quickly worked to extinguish the fire and got it under control in roughly 35 minutes.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Kalamazoo Public Safety Fire Marshall.

    The fire remains under investigation.
