BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Three people were shot in a Battle Creek parking lot after a fight early Sunday, police say.

Around 1 a.m., officers with the Battle Creek Police Department responded to the parking lot of #1 Legends Club on Porter Street northeast of 2nd Street when gunshots were heard.

Shortly after, three people showed up to the hospital with gunshot wounds: a 45-year-old Battle Creek man shot in the back, a 28-year-old Battle Creek man shot in the leg and a 37-year-old Springfield woman shot in the leg.

Police found that an “unknown man” started shooting after a fight between two women in the parking lot of #1 Legends Club on Porter Street northeast of 2nd Street.

Police say this was an “isolated incident” and that there was no danger to the public. Anyone with information about the shooting should contact the Battle Creek Police Department at 269.966.3322 or Silent Observer at 269.964.3888.
