MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — Muskegon police say they are seeking warrants for people in connection to a shooting that damaged a vehicle and sprayed glass on the people inside.

“We have recovered a couple of weapons in that investigation,” Muskegon Department of Public Safety Director Tim Kozal added, speaking to News 8 Monday. “Promising investigation. Great work by our detectives in obtaining the warrants and getting a couple guns off the street.”

After deadly weekend, Muskegon groups aim to reduce violence

The shooting happened on the afternoon of Sept. 2 on Laketon Avenue and Elwood Street. Police said gunfire hit a vehicle with three people, including a 4-month-old, inside. The three weren’t hit by bullets, but where injured by broken glass.

Anyone with information about the shooting or other crimes are asked to call the Muskegon Police Department at 231.724.6750 or Silent Observer at 231.722.7463.
