    Kalamazoo police seek information about deadly shooting

    KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are asking the public for information about a shooting that left a man dead early Saturday.

    Just after 4 a.m., a white GMC SUV was turning onto Westnedge Avenue from Florence Street when it was hit by gunfire.

    The driver, 20-year-old Ladarius Jaheel Clay, was shot in the torso and later died at the hospital.

    A passenger was hit in the leg, but the injury was considered not life-threatening, KDPS said.

    Officers are looking for the shooter. KDPS said that it is following several leads and does not believe there is a threat to the public.

    How can there not be a threat to the public???MF’r shot on a public road into a moving car in densely populated area. If he/she is not in custody they are a threat!!!
