    Police: Man shot, killed in northwest Grand Rapids

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say a man was shot and killed in northwest Grand Rapids Wednesday morning.

    The Grand Rapids Police Department said around 8 a.m. Wednesday, it received a report of a man with blood on him in the driver’s seat of a parked car on Fremont Avenue NW near the intersection of Leonard Street NW and Alpine Avenue NW.

    The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to GRPD. His name was not released.

    It’s unknown what led to the shooting or whether any arrests have been made. Police have not released any suspect information.

    The shooting remains under investigation.
