    Man shot, killed in northwest Grand Rapids ID’d

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police have released the name of the man who was shot and killed in northwest Grand Rapids Wednesday.

    The Grand Rapids Police Department identified the man as Malik Moore, 29. Police said his death has been ruled a homicide.

    Around 8 a.m. Wednesday, the police department said it received a report of a man with blood on him in the driver’s seat of a parked car on Fremont Avenue NW near the intersection of Leonard Street NW and Alpine Avenue NW.

    Moore was pronounced dead at the scene, according to GRPD.

    It’s unknown what led to the shooting or whether any arrests have been made. Police have not released any suspect information.

    The shooting remains under investigation.
