Cass County deputies: Man shot in foot amid argument

VANDALIA, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies say a man was shot in the foot early Wednesday morning in Cass County.

It happened around 1:50 a.m. on the 18000 block of State Street, near Main Street, in the village of Vandalia, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say two men were arguing and it got physical. A 24-year-old man was shot in the foot, they say, and was taken to the hospital to be treated.

The other man fled and, as of Wednesday morning, had not been taken into custody, according to the sheriff’s office.
