    Billy Joel, Stevie Nicks announce Detroit concert

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks will play at least one more show together, announcing a concert planned for Ford Field.

    Live Nation held a news conference inside the stadium Thursday to announce the giant concert . The two music icons will perform on Saturday, March 29. Tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4.

    “We know Ford Field has a reputation for being loud and has a reputation for being fun,” event emcee Dan Miller said during the press conference. “We know folks will come out and have the time of their lives.”

    Joel and Nicks previously traveled together during parts of 2023 and 2024 on the “Two Icons One Night” Tour. Neither need an introduction to music fans. Both have deep catalogs and generations of fans.

    Joel has sold more than 150 million records and is considered one of the most popular recording artists in the world. He has had 33 songs place on the Billboard Top 40 and has been nominated for 23 Grammy awards.

    Nicks has released 15 albums: eight solo records and seven albums with Fleetwood Mac, selling more than 65 million copies in the United States alone. In 2007, Rolling Stone declared her the “reigning queen of rock and roll.” She was also named by the magazine as one of the 100 greatest songwriters of all time. She is the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice: in 1998 as a member of Fleetwood Mac and in 2019 as a solo artist.
