HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a crash near Holland Thursday night, deputies say.

Before 8 p.m., an SUV driven by a 16-year-old was headed south on West Shore Drive, trying to turn left into a nearby Target parking lot. A Suzuki motorcycle driven by a 41-year-old Muskegon man was headed north on West Shore Drive when it hit the turning SUV, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said.

The motorcyclist had injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The driver of the SUV was not injured, deputies said.

West Shore Drive was closed for an hour after the crash for investigation and cleanup.
