    Deputies: Bicyclist injured in Olive Township crash

    OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say a bicyclist was injured after being hit by a car in Olive Township.

    The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 7 p.m. Thursday on Fillmore Street near Allen Drive.

    Investigators said a westbound driver was distracted by the sun’s glare on the roadway, crossed the fog line and struck an eastbound bicyclist on the westbound shoulder.

    The bicyclist, a 20-year-old Brownstown Township woman, was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to the sheriff’sheriff’s

    The crash remains under investigation.
