Meet the Artists: Michelle Sider’s ‘From Darkness to Light’

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Throughout ArtPrize 2024, the News 8 Live Desk will be giving you a closer look at some of the about 900 pieces being displayed throughout the city, hearing from the artists behind them.

Above, Digital Host Phil Pinarski speaks with Michelle Sider and her piece “ From Darkness to Light .” It is currently housed at the Atrium at Uccello’s.

Sider, an artist who specializes in mosaic pieces, was a finalist in last year’s competition and hopes to take the top prize in 2024. Her 2024 entry features two new mosaics.
