GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week on “To The Point,” we’ll take a look at the 44th District House race in Calhoun County where state Rep. Jim Haadsma, D-Battle Creek, is running for his fourth term and talks about his experience in Lansing.

“I think I attain a lot of cooperation. It’s an interesting place, Lansing, because although you can have cordial relationships with a number of other House members, House leadership on both sides makes it very difficult to deviate from whatever (the) leadership has in mind,” he said.

Republican Steve Frisbie is challenging him and wants to change directions but still find common ground.

“I think that the smallest thing we can do is stop some of the far-left progressive movement that has gone on since 2023. The best thing we can do is work together across the aisle with the Senate and the governor to say, ‘Here’s what we think is good for Michigan,'” he said.

All that and more on this “To The Point” episode for the weekend of Sept. 28.

Steve Frisby totally different person in front of a camera. he brags about all the years of being a commissioner no one ran against him either. then now all of a sudden he's allegedly been a college teacher for 20 some years wonder when he gets sleep cuz there's not enough hours in a day to do everything he claims he's done
