CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies say two juveniles on a moped were hurt when a pickup truck turned into their path Friday evening in Crockery Township.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. at Cleveland Street and Apple Drive, according to a release from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say two juveniles were heading west on Cleveland Street on a moped as an 18-year-old woman was heading east in a Chevrolet pickup truck. They say the pickup truck tried to turn left onto Apple Drive, turned into the moped’s path and was hit.

The moped’s operator was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, while the passenger suffered minor injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. Both were wearing helmets.

Deputies say the woman driving the pickup truck wasn’t hurt.

    The sheriff’s office is investigating.
