Cat stuck in tree for days rescued by Portage firefighters

PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) — On Friday, Portage firefighters rescued a cat that had been up in a tree for days.

A post on the department of public safety’s Facebook page said that a woman went to a Portage Department of Public Safety fire station to see if anyone could help rescue her cat that had been stuck in a tree since Monday.

A crew went to the tree and used an aerial ladder to climb up and rescue the cat that was about 30 feet up in the air.

“Contrary to popular belief it is not every day that we actually get to rescue a cat out of a tree,” the post said.
