OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — An employee with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was injured in a crash in Olive Township Monday night, deputies say.

Around 7:51 p.m., a Kia Seltos driven by a 16-year-old from Holland was headed south on 112th Avenue and an Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle was headed West on Stanton Street.

The two crashed at the intersection, according to deputies. The sheriff’s office employee, a 47-year-old Zeeland man, had minor injuries.

The driver and passenger of the Kia were not injured. All were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Michigan State Police is investigating the crash.

North and South drivers don't have a stop sign but the East and West drivers do have a stop sign. Cop at fault is my guess also the reason why the State Police are leading the investigation.
