    Ottawa County hires firm to find new administrator

    OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Ottawa County is looking for a new administrator.

    Jon Anderson, who had been serving as interim county administrator since March after t he firing of former Administrator Jon Gibbs , resigned over the weekend without explanation.

    “His leadership will be missed. We wish him the best as he pursues his other professional endeavors,” the county said in a Wednesday release.

    Deputy Administrator Ben Wetmore is now keeping county business moving along, as he did after Gibbs was placed on leave and before Anderson was appointed.

    The county says it has brought on Grand Rapids-based W Talent Solutions to manage the search for a new administrator , with oversight from county leaders and the Board of Commissioners Executive Transition Committee.
