New Jersey’s horse betting marketplace will soon be open for competition
For over a decade, New Jersey has had one singular app control of all of the horse racing wagering in the state. That’s set to change after a deal between Darby Developments and NYRA Bets. Darby Developments is home to Monmouth Park in NJ. On Tuesday, it was announced that NYRA Bets will become the managing vendor of New Jersey’s parimutuel horse betting system. With this, several advanced deposit wagering (ADW) platforms will be allowed to operate in the market. FanDuel Group owns TVG, which has operated 4NJbets for more than a decade. They were the sole ADW in New Jersey. Darby Developments CEO had this to say.
