Chemeketa partners with Arizona State

What do Chemeketa Community College and Arizona State University have in common?

At first blush, that question is a poser. But today officials at the local community college shed light on a new partnership with the desert school. CCC announced that officials between the two schools have arranged a collaboration that will streamline the transfer process for Chemeketa students who want to continue their education at ASU.

This trademarked program is dubbed MyPath2ASU®.

Chemeketa spokeswoman Marie Hulett described MyPath2ASU® as a comprehensive suite of tools and resources tailored to facilitate the transfer process. She said by integrating these tools into their academic planning, Chemeketa students can align their courses with ASU degree requirements, reducing the time and cost required to complete a bachelor’s degree.

“We are pleased to partner with Arizona State University to provide Chemeketa students with a streamlined transfer pathway to support their academic and career goals,” Chemeketa President and CEO Jessica Howard said. “This collaboration emphasizes our commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and ensuring student success.”

MyPath2ASU® affords Chemeketa students assistance in selecting courses that directly apply to ASU bachelor’s degree programs. It also helps facilitate admission to ASU and a chosen major, provided that requirements are met. That means access to more than 400 guided pathways for both on-campus and online degree programs.

Other features include self-service tools that monitor degree progress and minimize credit loss, and personalized ASU communications that support academic preparation and integration into the ASU community.
