A look at Kennedy cross country's 2024 schedule

Kennedy cross country will look a bit different this year.

The program graduated six runners across the two teams. On the boys side, the departure of last season's district champion Johnathan Kintz will be difficult to replace, while the girls have to fill three spots from last season's team that won districts and qualified for the state meet.

Sophomores Lukas Bauman and Aaden Carmack are the lone varsity returners for the boys. Bauman has a personal best of 20 minutes, 13.40 seconds. Carmack's personal best, which he registered at districts last year, is 23:17.40. The two will be joined this year by Bohden Sowa, Kaleb Eder, Sam Duda and Samuel Sandoval.

On the girls side, the Trojans will be led by Yulissa Chavez Cortes, who finished sixth at districts last year individually and boasts a personal best of 20:43.80. Paityn Garcia is behind her at 22:39.50, followed by Stephanie Cardenas at 22:39.80.

The three seniors will be joined by Azucena Lopez Lopez, Jazmyne Santana, Meli Osoro and Reaghan Williams. A season full of personal bests is sure to be in store for the Trojans. Here's where they can do it.
