“Bronco, Bronco Layne. Next to a four square Texas twister, you′d call a cyclone weak and mild. You′ve never seen a twister, mister, ‘til someone gets him riled.

“Bronco, Bronco, tearin’ across the Texas plain. Bronco, Bronco, Bronco Layne.”

Where did that come from? I’m just sitting at a stoplight minding my own business when I begin singing the theme song from the old cowboy show “Bronco”! What? Why?

Then I noted that the car in front of me was a Bronco. A Bronco! This darn Bronco was the catalyst of my musical wheels.

Who makes the Bronco? “Climb every mountain, FORD every stream.” This was not going to go well. I couldn’t stop looking at car names and models. Soon I found myself singing one song after another. I could not stop myself. I was possessed!

    “What’s it all about, Audi?”

“Could that someone be Mack the knife.”

“Hyun-dai my love, there will be songs to sing.”

I tried to stop. Then another car would be in front of me. I was beginning to think I was possessed by a car dealer.

“Pink Cadillac”, “Mustang Sally”, “drove my Chevy to the levee.”

I was “Ram”-med around “Dodge”-ing different cars. It was hard to Focus on where I was going!

“Silverado, why don’t you come to your senses?”

    Help, I need somebody’s help!

Even songs from my mother’s sheet music came crashing in.

“I’ll be Subaru (loving) always, with a love that’s true, always.”

“Sonata, (Granada) you’ve got me under your spell.”

I wish I could say that this chaos left me when I got out of the car, but it has not. I still see music in the makes and models of cars. I wonder if there is any help for this condition.

    “Jeep, Jeep”

    “Jeep, Jeep”

“His horn went Jeep, Jeep, Jeep.”

    I’m in a DeLorean delirium.
