With the crispness of fall in the air, pumpkins of all shapes and sizes are set to take center stage at the 37th annual Bauman's Harvest Festival.

Located in Gervais at Bauman’s Farm and Garden, the festival officially kicked off on Sept. 21, with events continuing through Oct. 30.

This year, the festival will feature over 30 activities for children of all groups, from mazes and obstacle courses to rides and farm animals. The events will be spread out across the Bauman farm, which is located at 12989 Howell Prairie Road in Gervais.

The festival will be open from 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. six days a week, rain or shine, and closed on Mondays. Admission prices for weekdays are $20 for people ages 3-54 and $15 for people 55 and older. On the weekends, the admission fee is $30 for ages 3-54 and $20 for 55+.

Admission for children two and under is free with a paying adult. The admission fee also covers the cost of all activities during the festival day. Parking and pumpkin patch entrance are free.

There is also food for sale at the festival, featuring Bauman’s fresh-pressed apple cider and apple cider donuts. Fall produce is also available for purchase at the farm.

While the festival is open all month, there are a few special events taking place on select days throughout the festival.

On Oct. 5, there will be a giant pumpkin weigh-off and pumpkin drop. On Oct. 26-27, there will be a cider festival where cidermakers from across the Northwest are invited to bring their top three fall flavors to the farm for tasting and judging.

Additionally, the festival will have a charitable component, as this year's theme is breast cancer awareness.

“We have an opportunity to increase awareness during the month of October when thousands attend our festival,” said Sarah Farrell, co-owner of Bauman’s Harvest Festival, in a press release.

Pink pumpkins will be on sale at the pumpkin patch, and for every pink pumpkin sold, $1 will be donated to a breast cancer organization that supports local patients and families.

Wow. Price point is pretty high for a farm experience. I'll pass.
