Several residents displaced, animals lost in Vermont fire
BARRE, Vt. — Multiple families have been displaced after a structure fire in Barre Sunday. The initial call came in just after 6:30 p.m. At least five fire departments were called to the scene. Officials say a person and several pets were inside at the time of the fire. The person was safely evacuated, but some pets were lost. At least one firefighter was injured.
Scattered rain to persist through midweek with rising humidity
Flash flood warnings are in effect in northern New Hampshire's Grafton County until 4 a.m. Tuesday. Flash flood warnings are also in place in northern Vermont's Essex County and Orleans County until 6:15, and in Caledonia County until 7:15. In Concord, Island Pond and Morgan, a flash flood warning has been issued until 6:45 a.m. A severe thunderstorm warning was issued in parts of Vermont Monday, but has since expired. Lyndonville man in custody after traffic stop
ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) - A Lyndonville man is in custody after police conducting a traffic stop found there were several warrants out for his arrest. Vermont State Police say troopers were on patrol in the area of Main Street and Western Avenue in St. Johnsbury when they made a traffic stop and found the passenger, Andrew Davis, 37, had several outstanding warrants.
