Milton to host National Night Out on Aug. 6
Milton's annual National Night Out is set to take place on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 5:30-8 p.m. in Bombardier Park, located at 20 Park Place. This free, family-friendly event aims to strengthen community ties and foster partnerships between law enforcement and residents. Organized by the Milton Police Department, National Night Out is part of a nationwide campaign promoting police-community partnerships.
Rutland ‘pit’ cleanup price tag jumps to $5M
RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) - Downtown Rutland’s so-called “pit” could be getting a makeover despite skyrocketing cleanup costs. The pit is the former site of the Berwick Hotel, which burned down in 1973. The lot on the corner of Center and Wales Streets is currently used as parking.
