“Portraits: The Style Weekly Photograph Archive” at The Valentine
Style Photographers Kent Eanes, Chad Hunt, Scott Elmquist and Stephen Salpukas at the opening of “Portraits” on July 9 at the Valentine. Since 1982, one of Style Weekly’s most distinguishable features is the arresting photography featured in both its print issues and online. In that time, Style’s photographers captured some of the most significant moments in our town’s history. Many of these images are now on display at The Valentine as part of its new exhibit “Portraits: The Style Weekly Photograph Archive.”
1,900 Virginians take advantage of tax credit to encourage safe firearm storage
New data from the Virginia Department of Taxation shows that, during tax year 2023, 1,905 Virginians took advantage of a new tax credit designed to help offset the cost of life-saving gun storage devices like gun safes, gun locks and more.
Coming August 1st: Improvements to Databases
The library will be rolling out the new and improved EBSCO databases on August 1st. This is actually an exciting change that should help the whole Reynolds community when looking for academic databases and articles. We know that when an interface changes, it can be somewhat disorienting, but these changes should go a long way towards making the overall experience of using the library digital resources a smoother, quicker process for everyone.
