    Luis Torres Sworn in as Woodland Park Councilman Following Ron Arnau’s Resignation

    WOODLAND PARK, NJ - Luis Torres was officially sworn in as the newest member of thw Woodland Park Municipal Council, succeeding Ron Arnau, who resigned last month . The appointment followed a nomination process by the Woodland Park Democratic County Committee.

    Torres, a resident of Woodland Park for 15 years, has been an active community member, notably with the Boys and Girls Club and Passaic County Sheriff’s Office. During his swearing-in, Torres expressed his gratitude and outlined his commitment to transparent governance and community engagement.

    “I am deeply humbled and honored to serve as a councilman,” Torres said. “My goal is to contribute to the prosperity and well-being of Woodland Park, and I am excited to collaborate with my fellow council members to advance our town's development.”

    The appointment was warmly received by the community and fellow council members, who praised the dedication and qualifications of the candidates. The Borough Council acknowledged the high caliber of nominees and expressed their commitment to working together for the betterment of Woodland Park.

    "I am excited to start working with Luis and feel that his qualifications will be a welcome addition," Mayor Tracy Kallert said. "Having taken and passed the rigorous Certified Public Managers course made him an ideal candidate to join us."
