This is an interesting new study from Talker which sampled a huge amount of people to learn about their energy level (or lack thereof). The big picture takeaway from their questions is that one out of every 3 people say they often or always feel tired even after a good night's sleep. Something is very wrong here.

Salem Strength Team’s Murphy & Crawford Have Great Showing At Bench Nationals in SC
Salem Strength Team’s Monty Murphy and Tim Crawford are competing this weekend at the USA Powerlifting Bench Nationals in Greenville, South Carolina. Monty was 1st in Masters-1 90kg class. Tim won the Masters-1 140kg class and was runner up in the Open 140kg division. Monty Murphy best lift was 364lb. Tim Crawford best was 452lb.
Baileys Arrested Following High-Risk Traffic Stop Early Sunday Morning
A Carlyle Illinois man is free on a Notice to Appear while a Carmi man is behind bars after what Carmi Police call a high-risk traffic stop resulted in their arrests early Sunday morning. It was about 2:20am when officers say they pulled over the pair in the 400 block of South Walnut. 22-year-old Cory Bailey of Carlyle was arrested and charged with Fleeing/Eluding Police. 23-year-old Christopher Bailey remains behind bars. He was arrested on two warrants, one a misdemeanor from this year; the other a 2023 felony. Online court records don’t show details on the misdemeanor; the felony warrant is related to a January 2023 incident in which it appears Bailey took a plea deal. He’s due in court at 10am Monday.

Lady Cats 10u Wins Olney All Star Tournament
The Salem 10u Softball All Stars played in tournament action this weekend in Olney. Salem came home with championship beating West Salem 7-5 in extra innings. Salem also beat Mt Carmel 17-1 and West Salem 11-1 before falling in the first championships game 7-5 and forcing the ‘If’ necessary game. After 12 hours at the ballpark, the Lady Wildcats came home with the title.
