TCNJ to provide room and board to local community college students
EWING — Come the fall semester, the housing situation at The College of New Jersey will be different than ever before. TCNJ and Mercer County Community College have worked out a deal where TCNJ will provide room and board to its students, according to a release from MCCC. The partnership “for the Fall 2024 semester and beyond” will also offer MCCC students special rates for the accommodation.

Kitten tests positive for rabies
The Burlington County Health Department has announced that a stray kitten found in Mount Holly has tested positive for rabies. The animal was found on an Emma Street property and was brought to the county animal shelter to be tested. The kitten had no direct contact with any animals at the shelter, but the county health department has identified individuals who were exposed.

MORRISVILLE, Pa. Chester County Offers Free Potassium Iodide Tablets for Residents Near Nuclear Power Stations
WEST CHESTER, PA — As part of its emergency preparedness initiatives, the Chester County Health Department will distribute potassium iodide (KI) tablets at no cost for individuals living or working within a 10-mile radius of the Limerick Generating Station or Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station. Many of the previously distributed KI tablets are nearing their expiration dates in 2024.
