The fire took place on Purcell Drive, in the Pearson Park Neighborhood. The Trinity Fire Department said one of the homes were damaged and the other is a total loss.

A witness said the fire was caused by a stray firework hitting one of the homes.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials at the Spartanburg Co. Sheriff’s Office said they have requested an Arson Investigator.
