Adopt a Dairy Cow campaign raises over $168,000
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Over $168,000 was raised this year to supply milk to those in need through the Adopt a Dairy Cow initiative. Adopt a Dairy Cow was created by Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin to address the shortage of milk donations to the local pantry. The program has provided 300,000 gallons of milk to those facing nutrition insecurity in southwestern Wisconsin since launching a decade ago.

Wisconsin drug dealer sentenced for turning ghost gun into a machine gun
MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 28-year-old Wisconsin man was sentenced to federal prison on Tuesday for turning a ghost gun into a fully functional machine gun. According to a release, Byron Ellison, 28, from Windsor, was sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars for possessing heroin and fentanyl intended for distribution and possessing a machine gun.

A longtime vacancy in the US District Court for the eastern District of Wisconsin may soon be filled by an attorney based in Green Bay. This morning, President Biden announced plans to nominate personal injury attorney Byron Browning Conway to the position. The vacancy was created in 2019 by the retirement of Judge William C. Greisbach pending Senate approval. Both Senator Tammy Baldwin and Senator Ron Johnson recommended Conway, along with one other attorney for the job last summer.
