Masked man brandishing weapon robs small-town Main Street store

Police are investigating after a masked man brandishing a weapon demanded cash from a small-town Mississippi store employee.

The Woodville Republican newspaper reports that Woodville Police are investigating the incident at a store on Main Street shortly before 10 p.m. on Sunday, June 23.

According to police, a man entered the store and used a handgun to force the store employee to hand over cash from the store’s safe.

Police say another employee and a woman with a child were in the store at the time of the armed robbery.

Police report that the robber forced the employee to retrieve money from the safe and then fled the scene.

No one was reportedly injured in the incident.
